While it wasn&#8217;t the season they hoped for as the reigning Pacific Division champions and were within one goal of the Western Conference Finals, the team can wash away what was a rough season and focus on a fresh start to 2025-2026.

Boeser is without a contract heading into next season, and tonight&#8217;s game could potential be his last wearing a Canucks uniform.
Having been drafted by Vancouver in the first round of the 2015 draft, the blue and green are the only colours he knows at the NHL level. But he isn&#8217;t trying to let his potential last game here get in the way of the team and winning their season finale:
<blockquote>&#8220;Yeah, just trying to embrace it with my teammates and go out there and try to play a good game and finish strong.
&#8220;I&#8217;m sure I&#8217;ll have the thoughts, but you never know, at the end of the day. We&#8217;ll see what happens. We&#8217;ll see what conversations are had after the season.&#8221;</blockquote>
Boeser has been through a lot in Vancouver. Having spent all nine games of his NHL seasons, he&#8217;s been through all the ups with two successful playoff runs and the lows of being a bottom-dwelling team. During some of my years here, we&#8217;ve had some rough years and the fans have stuck by our side, and always have been positive and really cheered us on. While it has been reported that contract talks between Boeser and the Canucks have been relatively quiet since an five-year $8 million per season was offered and rejected, the player hasn&#8217;t fully lost hope on a return. But if in fact this is his final game in Vancouver, Boeser will make sure to take in all the emotions from the support from the fans and his teammates:
<blockquote>&#8220;We&#8217;ll see what happens. Like I said, I&#8217;m sure they&#8217;ll talk with my agent after the season, and I&#8217;ll see if anything can come to an agreement or not. But yeah, I mean, there&#8217;s definitely gonna be the thoughts, and I just try and take it in my teammates. You really never know at the end of the day, so I don&#8217;t really want to fully think that it could be in my last game. So I&#8217;m just gonna take it as another game and finish here strong as a team.&#8221;</blockquote>
